At NEXPLACE, diversity and inclusion isn’t just something we talk about. By making it a key part of our culture and embedding it into the fabric of our business, you’ll see that we are increasing awareness as well as widening the scope and our understanding of diversity and inclusion across every part of our organisation.
We’re always striving to do better, too. As you’ll discover when you join us, this is a place where our focus is to actively stimulate change, ideas and initiatives to ensure that we’re constantly refining our approach. From encouraging inclusion at a local level to supporting a developing and robust diversity agenda on a global scale, we’re fully committed to creating and maintaining an environment that respects and celebrates difference. So, if you want to bring your true self to work every day, rest assured – here you can.
WHAT DOES DIVERSITY, INCLUSION AND BELONGING MEAN TO US?
Our strength really does come through our differences. By having access to a wide range of creativity, innovation and diverse skillsets, we will have the ability to confidently tackle any and every challenge we face. This in turn will result in enhanced business performance and contribute to our competitive edge.
It’s all part of being a forward-thinking business – one that is open to all cultures, personalities and backgrounds. A business that is enriched by every individual. And a business that doesn’t just give everyone a voice but actually takes the time to listen. After all, when we share and acknowledge experience, we all learn and grow.
WHAT ARE WE DRIVING TOWARDS?
We’re on a journey. And along the way, we’re constantly adapting and evolving as we work towards our aim of creating a truly inclusive culture and organisation. Our shared learning and behaviours have a huge part to play – because they will have a direct impact on the success of our strategy and initiatives.
WHERE ARE WE CURRENTLY?
We’re in the process of making significant changes to how we approach diversity and belonging in our workspaces. From listening to our employees to developing initiatives that encourage an inclusive culture, we’re committed to making NEXPLACE one of the fairest and most welcoming organisations.
Since the changes to working brought about by COVID-19 we’ve expanded the initiative, enabling increased flexibility and aiding productivity during these unprecedented times. Here are some of the benefits that we trust our employees to use as appropriate:
- The ability to work from home 50% of the time
- Flexibility in working hours – early or late starts
- Time off in lieu (travel during bank holidays and weekends)
- Up to five days per annum remote working (outside UK)
Inclusive Behavioural Change Programmes
We are continually developing and establishing these programmes in order to encourage and promote behavioural change at leadership level. Through the programmes, we’re creating interventions that can be embedded and used globally by leaders – enabling them to pass diversity and inclusion best practice onto their teams. The aim is simple – to lead by example and further build an inclusive workplace culture.
